Right! What a fool.
Baxter acts like he wants Election days to be a federally
dictated National Holiday.
He & I live in states where the voting is done by mail.
So what is the day off needed for?
Just cost the national economy another half a billion
to bribe the federal bureaucrats more.

ALL-MAIL ELECTIONS (AKA VOTE-BY-MAIL)
Dylan Lynch8/15/2018

Introduction
At least 22 states have provisions allowing certain elections to be
conducted entirely by mail. For these elections, all registered voters
receive a ballot in the mail. The voter marks the ballot, puts it in a
secrecy envelope or sleeve and then into a separate mailing envelope,
signs an affidavit on the exterior of the mailing envelope, and returns
the package via mail or by dropping it off.

Vote by mail logoBallots are mailed out well ahead of Election Day, and
thus voters have an “election period,” not just a single day, to vote.
All-mail elections can be thought of as absentee voting for everyone.
This system is also referred to as “vote by mail.” ---

As of January 2017, three of the 22 states—Oregon (2000), Washington
(2011) and Colorado (2013)—hold all elections entirely by mail.

But most people don't. I'd be fine if EVERY state went to Vote-by-Mail.
But if they don't, making the day a holiday is entirely appropriate.
Then, of course, even in Vote-by-Mail states, they have ballot drop-off
sites where you can drop off your ballot on the last day -- and a lot of
people do exactly that.

Other countries make voting a holiday and manage quite well - better than
the US in fact.

I'm guessing the people who actually have the money and do bribe the
federal bureaucrats and politicians don't bother to vote - they use
gullible fools like you.

Baxter, "Other countries ----manage quite well - better than

You are seriously one stupid gullible self pitying whiner.
You think many countries have a better economy than the USA.
Much of France is rioting. People are seriously unhappy
and about to change governmental control in UK & Germany.

"Big country, small population
Before we move on to the obvious black gold, there are other issues to
consider that are often overlooked. First and foremost, Norway has a
huge amount of landmass, coastline and waters, but a relatively small
population. (and a very homogeneous population!)
This combination means there the money earned by the land and the ocean
goes a lot, lot further than you might expect. The same is true for
Norway's Nordic siblings: Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and to a lesser
extent Denmark.

Norway and Sweden have a greater portion of foreign-born residents than the
US: 13.9% and 16% compared to 13.1%.
