Seattle Mayor Launches Rules to Force Local Businesses to Comply With SHARIAH LAW

In one major American city, new rules may force banks to comply with
Shariah law on lending and interest.
One of the major tenets of Shariah law is that Muslims cannot pay
interest on loans. In countries with large Muslim populations, there's
something known as Islamic banking, which manages to get around this
through various machinations.
However, the banks still make less money off of the loans, and under
Shariah-compliant banking, there can be no late fees charged.

In short, the left wing Seattle government is going to mandate favored
treatment for Muslims because of their religious beliefs. How very
interesting.

Doesn't that steal the rights of business owners that offer mortgages to
people they can make a profit from? And does it allow a religion to
have CRA mortgage lending rights, or is it some other law and
constitutional power being used? The businesspersons "lenders" will be
forced by CRA to offer a type of loan they don't offer, so that Muslims
can borrow money? What constitutional law would they use to force a
business owner to make a loan that they don't consider profitable? And
why is it OK to pass a law that limits a business owners freedom when
Liberals can't use that same constitutional power to limit gays marriage
to satisfy Muslims and Christians religious rights?

In one case Liberals limit the business owners rights for the Muslims
and in the other case Liberals suddenly can't limit the gays rights for
the Christians....? why is that? If Liberals can stomp on a business
person's rights why can't Liberals also stomp on a gay persons rights to
satisfy the religious rights of others?

Those banks are more than welcome to come to Oklahoma. "Liberalism at its
most stupid level" should be Seattle's new town motto.

There may be a new type of mortgage spring up out of this: A one time fee
added right into the mortgage (the amount interest would have added up to).
Maybe a really really big downpayment,too...

For the time being expect to see a sudden increase in muslim converts
in the city.
Since there is no real true way to determine if one is indeed a
practicing muslim or not, then any citizen will be able to apply for a
loan and declare themselves muslim and thus receive an interest free
loan.

Wonder how long it will be before the banks start bailing on Seattle?
